Michèle’s hospitality career began with a serendipitous career aptitude test, leading to a Bachelor’s in Hotel Administration from the prestigious Hotel School in The Hague. Since 1983, she has built a diverse and impactful career, starting in event centers in the Netherlands, followed by a corporate trainee position with Hyatt International in Germany, and culminating in the opening of the Hyatt Regency in Birmingham, UK.
A Hyatt guest brought her to Dallas-Fort Worth, where she held management roles at Hyatt Reunion, encompassing Outlets, In-house and Off-site Catering, and Convention Services. She further expanded her expertise with ITT Sheraton, Starwood, and InterContinental Hotels Group, serving as a National Sales Manager for a decade. For the past ten years, she has focused on group sales in Frisco with Embassy Suites and currently serves as a Convention Services Manager with Marriott.
With over 40 years of experience, Michèle brings a wealth of industry knowledge to the panel. Her extensive career has provided her with a unique understanding of the hospitality landscape. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her adult daughters, embarking on local mini-adventures, traveling to Europe, researching her ancestry, and attending renaissance festivals and rocket launches
